AccommodationWe can offer farmhouse bed and breakfast accommodation in our family home, Warren Farm Cottage, situated in the heart of the Marlborough Downs. We are well off the beaten track but only three miles from the town of Marlborough.
We have a collection of friendly animals including Flossie the pig, and a large collection of free range bantams and hens. Well behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage as long as they are prepared to get on with our elderly, gentle Jack Russell bitch. It's a wonderful spot not only for equestrian pursuits but also for walkers or those wanting a peaceful, relaxing weekend far from the madding crowd! Stabling is available for those wanting to bring their own horse and we have an acre paddock behind the house for turn out.
We believe that a good breakfast sets you up for the day. We offer specialty sausages made from our own Gloucester Old Spot/Tamworth cross pigs, free range eggs from our own hens and home made bread, jams and jellies.
We will make a picnic lunch for walkers with goodies such as pear and stilton flan, rich fruitcake and a flask of tea or coffee and an evening meal is available - although we ask for pre-booking to make sure the larder is full!
We are informal and relaxed and try to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible and are always open to ways of improving what we offer. We have three rooms available : Bedroom 1 (ground floor) has a double bed and a double bed settee. There are tea/coffee making facilities, a fridge, a microwave and television. Bedroom 2 (first floor) has two single beds, tea/coffee making facilities, TV and DVD Bedroom 3 (first floor) is a single room again with tea and coffee making facilities. We have two bathrooms (not en suite, but adjoining rooms). Guests are welcome to use the garden and barbecue in the summer or relax in the conservatory. We charge £25 for one person £45 for two sharing a double room.
