HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? We charge £20 an hour; this is from the moment of mounting your horse. We like people to catch in and tack up with us and if you have time it is good to untack, hose down or 'thatch' your horse and turn him or her out. This forms a good relationship with your horse and the extra time spent on the yard means you have time to meet and chat with your fellow riders. Generally speaking our Saturday and Sunday morning rides are a minimum of an two hours and a maximum of three hours riding time. We keep our Sunday afternoon ride for new riders joining us for the first time or those wanting a shorter ride to an hour. Because our rides are quite strenuous we find three hours is generally plenty long enough for most riders, but ask if you would like us to arrange a less strenuous all-day ride during the week. WHAT IF I ONLY WANT ACCOMMODATION? Bed and Breakfast costs £25 for one person for one night - £45 for two people sharing a double or twin room. This includes a delicious breakfast taken in the conservatory. Dinner is £15 per person for a three course meal or £20 to include a pre-dinner drink, cheese and biscuits and coffee or tea. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR A WEEKEND RIDING BREAK? A typical weekend - Friday to Sunday - with two days' riding, accommodation, meals and drinks, will cost £220 - but always give us a ring to talk through costs for a tailor-made weekend or ideas for a non-riding partner. |
