WARREN FARM COTTAGE - Farmhouse B & B, Riding holidays with your horse
Our cottage is two miles from Marlborough, 60 miles from London and about 30 miles from Salisbury and Bath.
We are in a rural location at the end of a farm track and surrounded by fields and fabulous countryside.  We have byways, bridlepaths and great walks all around us.  There is an abundance of wildlife who share our country life - badgers, deer, pheasant, partridges, owls and a multitude of wild birds.  We have free range hens, and guests are welcome to use the large, rather wild garden;  there is plenty of parking.
We can make arrangements to meet guests coming without a car at bus stop or train station but we should stress that it is a two mile walk to Marlborough or the village of Mildenhall where the nearest pub is.
Our (rates) include a delicious breakfast and we also offer dinner by prior arrangement (nosebag). Guests preferring to make their own arrangements for dinner will find a large choice of restaurants in nearby Marlborough. The Horseshoe Inn in Mildenhall (approx 2 miles away) is a great place for lunch or supper. We are very happy to recommend trips out from the cottage which include nearby Avebury, the Kennet Longbarrow, Stonehenge, Kennet and Avon Canal, Silbury Hill and our beautiful Savernake Forest.

We like to live a sustainable life, enjoying and protecting all that is around us;  we use local markets for our food, make our own bread and preserves and without making a big issue out of it try to maintain as small a footprint as possible.  We barter when possible and Mick, a carpenter and 'Doozer' can fix, mend, repair or renew ANYTHING!  We are not smart but if you are looking for a relaxed B & B in a great location without paying the earth, come and stay!

We have three bedrooms - a large downstairs bedroom with a double bed and a settee which turns into a small double or large single.  The room has television and tea and coffee making facilities and in the passage outside the room is a fridge, microwave, oven/grill, induction hob, pans, crockery and cutlery for those wanting self-catering facilities (please ask when booking).
There is an adjoining (but not en suite) bathroom with bath/shower/loo/washbasin
Upstairs is a single room with   tea and coffee making facilities and a twin bedded room again with TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
Both these rooms share a shower room with loo and washbasin.
We like our guests to feel as relaxed as possible - there are soft towelling dressing gowns in all rooms and complimentary bath oils and creams.
Breakfast is in our farmhouse kitchen where the duck egg blue aga maintains a lovely warm ambient temperature and atmosphere, or in the summer in the conservatory.
